As the park is situated on the historic Lowther Estate it is easy to visit Lowther Castle. The estate covers 70,000 acres and can offer many different country sports, as well as trout and salmon fishing in the River Eden.
Lowther Castle is a great day out for the whole family. Explore its dramatic ruins, exhibitions, gardens and take the kids to the adventure playground. Finish off your day in the café and shop.

Eden Valley
Lowther Holiday Park is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley with Ullswater to the west. To the east sits the road from Penrith to Alston which is noted as one of Britain’s most beautiful road journeys.
The Scottish Border and Hadrian’s Wall are to the north with Shap Fells and the Lune Gorge to the South.
The historic market town of Penrith is just two miles away and has a famous market as well as a wide range of speciality shops. Penrith lies less than 3 miles outside the boundaries of the Lake District making it perfect to explore the Northern Lakes.

Lowther Holiday Park is situated on the edge of the Lake District and you can wander around charming Lakeland towns and villages, exploring the history of the area, the castles and wonderful historical houses.
